Title of presentation: Bridging Technology and Language Education: The Impact of Digital Storytelling

Poster Presentation

Abstract:

At a time when technology is increasingly pervasive in education, there remains a gap in understanding how digital storytelling can enhance the language skills of Key Stage 3 students. This study, Bridging Technology and Language Education: The Impact of Digital Storytelling' explores this under-explored area, using an interactive digital storybook as a new pedagogical tool (Sadik, 2008) and generating data from expert and practitioner perspectives. Findings are expected to reveal the potential of digital storytelling for language learning and its practicality for curriculum integration (Robin, 2008b). Conclusions are expected to provide valuable implications for educators, policy makers and the wider educational research community, further bridging the gap between technology and language education.

Keywords: Digital storytelling, language learning, curriculum integration
